Dr Ian Yuen‘s practice specialises in hand and wrist surgery and provides comprehensive surgical care for all hand and wrist conditions. He has a great deal of experience with minimally invasive office treatments such as steroid injections. When surgery is necessary, the safest and most reliable surgical technique based on experience and research will be offered.

Fractures
Wrist, finger & hand fractures often require surgery to stabilise the bone.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Doctor Ian Yuen can assist you nerve conditions of the hand such as carpal tunnel syndrome

Finger Dislocation
Finger and thumb dislocations are common with basketball, rugby and netball.

De Quervains
Pain on the thumb side of the wrist can be due to De Quervain's Tenosynovitis.

Thumb sprain
Thumb dislocations and ligament injuries are often painful and unstable.

Dupuytren's Contracture
Being unable to straighten your finger with tight and thick palm can be surgically corrected. Commonly called Vikings Disease.

Swan neck deformity
Finger's can often adopt different postures after injuring the ligaments and tendons.

Boxer's Fracture
Punching a wall will often cause a break to the hand bones

Tendon injuries
Work injuries and cuts with sharp object will often severe the tendons in the fingers. This will require surgical repair

Arthritis
Wear and tear of the joint can result in pain. Joint replacements and fusions can be performed

Tennis Elbow
Lateral epicondylitis is often cause by overuse or trauma to the outside part of the elbow.

Work injuries
Work injuries will commonly damage many structures of the hand including bone, tendon, nerve and skin which all required surgical repair
